Damn Yankees

My two favorite teams are the Mets and whoever is playing the Yankees. (O.K. So it's not original. So sue me.) At the time I write this introduction - October 2003 - the Mets are coming off yet another horrendous season, the third in a row. It's tough for me to get worked up about them, no matter what their P.R. people tout. On the other hand, I can always be passionate about my hatred for the Yankees who, thanks to the deep pockets of their principal owner, George Steinbrenner, continually suffer an embarrassment of riches. But it's never enough. Even if - God forbid - they win yet another World Series, they aren't satisified the following season unless they do it again. And so it goes.

With that said, here are several pages of my ongoing thoughts about the despised Bronx Bombers.
