I thought that those clocks on the top of pedestals found along streets and in public spaces were called "lollipop" clocks, but my Internet searches of that term have turned up nothing. However, checking for street clocks proved extremely fruitful. (See the links below.) Here is my attempt to document these functional and decorative items (also known as post clocks) - initially just a list of their locations, and eventually with photographs.

Was seen in a TV news story on December 30, 2002 about the elimination of free parking on Sundays
in New York City's outer boroughs.
Clock is located on sidewalk near a Parade Of Shoes.
Mention was made of Flatbush Avenue. Also, the proprietor of an establishment called "House of Locks"
was interviewed. There are several businesses with that name in Brooklyn, one of which is Brooklyn House Of Locks,
which is located at 2181 Nostrand Avenue - not too far from the Parade Of Shoes at 1023 Flatbush Avenue.
