Model T. Meat Corp., 404 Graham Avenue, Brooklyn, NY
S/B "MOZZARELLA" To be perfectly fair, there were several other signs in the window of this shop, some of which also contained the word "mozzarella." The one pictured was the only one in which it was misspelled. |

Ida's Sweet Shop, 85 Driggs Avenue, Brooklyn, NY
I don't know why, but I never get tired of seeing "cigarettes" misspelled, even if I've seen the same mistake before. This is Number 3 for this one so far, by my count. One more thing: This being a sweet shop, are they candy cigarettes? Follow-up: I noticed when I took this shot that renovation work was going on inside. Sure enough, Ida's Sweet Shop no longer exists. The place is now called Cup o Joe's, and the misspelled sign is gone. |

Well, it's about time. Now we know where all that dinning room furniture is going. |

John's Fruit & Grocery, 47-35 Vernon Boulevard, Long Island City, NY
We've seen "mozzarella" without an e. Here it appears missing one z. |

Luca Deli Fruit & Vegetable, 60-47 Fresh Pond Road, Maspeth, NY
The plural of "sandwich" is "sandwiches." Don't forget that all-important e. |

Fresh Pond-Linden Grocery, 65-02 Fresh Pond Road, Ridgewood, NY
I hope that the Boar's Head delivery guy doesn't notice this mistake. His company isn't called "Board's Head." (I must get a better picture of this sign, without the obscuring glare.) |

Stanley's Pierogi, 54-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Maspeth, NY
There would be wholesale chaos in our society if we didn't all spell correctly. |

Las 5 Esquinas Coffee Shop, 24 St. Nicholas Avenue, Brooklyn, NY
Recall that I've already commented that "specialities" is a word , but is incorrect in this particular context. |

Imagenes Auto Repair, 382 Troutman Street, Brooklyn, NY
The muffer is the part of the automobile which muffs the vehicle's noise. |

Ramiro Grocery, 198 Knickerbocker Avenue, Brooklyn, NY
It's the second instance of "sandwichs" ... but only the first for "candys" (should be "candies") and "grocerys" (should be "groceries"). You really must learn how to pluralize correctly, rather than just stick an s onto the end of a singular. |
