Bushwick Superette, 375 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Maybe "Freh's" is a brand of meat, and they omitted the apostrophe. Nah!

G & S Auto Repair, 215 Boerum Street, Brooklyn, NY

Like greased lightning, this auto repair shop performs "straightning."

New York Heating Supply, 354 Humboldt Street?, Brooklyn, NY

I've been searching quite a while, and I've finally found a misspelling of "installations." It was only a matter of time before it reared its ugly head.

790 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

The plural of "party" is "parties." You can't just stick an s onto the end of a word and assume that it is now plural, as we've seen twice with "sandwich."

For the record, the establishment at this address, The Pourhouse, inherited this advertisement, which appears on the wall on the Humboldt Street side of its location.

Crete Restaurant Diner, 43-11 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY

This is the third time around for "specialities," so we'll not see another example of this mistake again, now will we?

Colgate Dry Cleaners, 39-45 47th Avenue, Sunnyside, NY

Wrong: "WE CLEAN SWEDE & LEATHER"

Right: "WE CLEAN SWEDES & LEATHER"

Just kidding. It should be "suede." This is one of my favorite misspellings so far.

Bagel On The Run, 994 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

We've seen "cigarettes" missing its first e. We've seen "cigarette" missing its terminal te. And now we see an example of "cigarettes" missing its second e. The cycle is complete, so to speak.

ABC Tire & Repair, 85-42 Woodhaven Boulevard, Queens, NY

"Muffles": They must have been trying to spell "muffers."

Double Happy Chinese Restaurant, 85-18 Jamaica Avenue, Woodhaven, NY

I would have been triple-happy if they had spelled "Jamaica" correctly.

Woodhaven Deli, 85-01 Jamaica Avenue, Woodhaven, NY

No matter how hard I stamped my feet, they wouldn't accept my foodstamps; they would take only foodstams.
