Misspelled Signs - Page 14

Palace Fried Chicken, 206 Nassau Avenue?, Brooklyn, NY

I get a kick when I discover additional spelling errors in a sign after I've transferred its picture to my computer. In this case, I saw "donnut" - which was good enough for me - and I caught the shot. Later I found that the sign also had the common "coffe" and a new one, "beacon" - as in "beacon egg & cheese on roll."

Deli-Mart, 185 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

You can spell it "yogurt." You can even spell it "yoghurt." But you shouldn't spell it "yougurt."

Pedro Grocery, 200 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

I guess we can be pretty sure that there is no sand in their sandwiches.

291 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Here are two signs at the same auto repair shop which indicate that they perform wheel "alingment." I guess it be so.

Food Dynasty, 46-02 Queens Boulevard, Queens, NY

Their cinnamon rolls are so sinfully delicious that they call them "sinnamon" rolls.

Midland Foods, 64-10 Maurice Avenue, Queens, NY

It's a sure bet that this sign wasn't lettered by someone named Herbert. The word is supposed to be spelled "sherbet."

Construction site at 60-30 Maurice Avenue, Queens, NY

Let me speak to the manager! Oh, he's not on-site? He's away at a manger, you say? Very well.

BTW: I'm pretty sure that it should also read "Administradores."

Maurice Avenue Deli, 59-04 55th Drive, Maspeth, NY

This place has two breakfast specials and one breakfast "specil." Now that last one is what I call extra-special!

Circle Cafeteria, 55-06 Maspeth Avenue, Maspeth, NY

On the other hand, this place announces neither breakfast specials nor breakfast specils. But it might have "breafast" specials.

Near 55-06 Maspeth Avenue, Maspeth, NY

From what I can tell, this crudely scrawled sign reads "WARNING / STOP PUTTING YOUR GARBAGE HERE / THIS IS NOT A PABLIC DAMSTER" Nor, I should add, is it a public dumpster.
