Misspelled Signs - Page 30

Wyckoff Garage, 749 Wyckoff Avenue, Ridgewood, NY

A two-fer: "Wykoff" instead of "Wyckoff" - it's correct in the address, however - and "Rigdewood" for "Ridgewood." (We've also seen that one spelled "Rigewood.")

Christ the Rock Christian Bookstore, 1419 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

This is the second time for this one - "tambourines" misspelled as "tamborines." But I like the statement "We have Christians." For sale?!!!

Sam the Glazier, 245 Wilson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

I kept walking arond and arond the block, but I never did find the entrance to this establishment.

Construction site at Myrtle Avenue and Wilson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Yes, sir! Now we know the phone number for the DEE-partment of "Transpotation."

Moshee's Furniture Warehouse, 1192 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

I thought that they were handing me a line when they said that this place carried "lines," not "linens."

Mobel Electronic & Video, 905 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY

It's a little blurry, but "Syvania" should read "Sylvania."

Tony's Car Wash, 1189 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

This place inherited two misspelled signs from the former establishment, Magic Touch Car Wash - the one in the picture at left has "freshners" instead of "fresheners," the one in the photo below it has "detaling" rather than "detailing." But you can't beat a car wash in which you can get a tattoo. (See the first shot.)

Botanica Yemaya, 1645 Woodbine Street, Ridgewood, NY

Several centuries ago, microscopic life forms were called "animalcules." Are "articules" just microscopic pieces of art?

Maggi Grocery Store, 1218 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

One more time (the fourth) for "sandwichs" instead of "sandwiches."

Yohana Deli and Restaurant, 1386 DeKalb Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

In Spanish, "Spanish" is "Espaρol." Maybe "Espanish" is "Spanish" in Spanglish, the hybrid of Spanish and English. Or maybe it's just misspelled.
