La Gran Via #2 Bakery, 1449 Myrtle Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Simply, "alwais" should be "always." What else can I say?

Modello Shoes, 363 Knickerbocker Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

"Evrything" is just falling into place with this one. (s/b "everything")

Nick's Electronics, 342 Knickerbocker Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

This is an interesting one. The plural of "tomato" is "tomatoes." Similarly, "potato" becomes "potatoes." However, more than one "stereo" are "stereos," not "stereoes."

Al's Unisex Barber Shop, 146 Wilson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Recently, we saw a hairstyle called a "mashroom." This place offers a similar "do" - a "musroom."

J & J Cleaners, 227 Montrose Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

The premise of my argument is that the word should be "premises," not "premisses."

Freddy's Deli, 895 Grand Street, Brooklyn, NY

With the punctuation - an apostrophe - and the lack of proper spacing, I'm not sure whether this sign is supposed to read "Phillip's teak hero" or "Phillip steak hero." Or maybe they mean "Phillip's steak hero." Regardless, I believe that the correct spelling is "Philly steak hero." I've usually known it to be "Philly cheese steak sandwich," but maybe this place doesn't add cheese to the composition.

Park Luncheonette, corner of Driggs Avenue and Lorimer Street, Brooklyn, NY

It's admittedly confusing. Even though Chile is the name of the South American country, the pepper-based meal is spelled "chili." So this sign should read "chili dog." Got it?

Herbal Medicus, 568 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

I wonder: Should the third word on the line below the business name be pronounced like the word "true?" Truly, the word should be spelled "through."

Norman Avenue Medical, 102 Norman Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Among other degrees, this doctor has a "diplomate" in acupuncture. (s/b "diploma") The sign goes on to list various available treatments, including prevention of "agin." Finally, at the bottom is advertised a 40 "minut" full body massage ... by master "mashine."

Something For Everyone, 251 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Just curious: Are "tenans" anything like tenants?
