Robert Digiantonio began Plastics 101 in 1996 as a consulting and training firm in Canton, Ohio, specializing in thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers processing. Prior to this, he was an injection molding specialist with Advanced Elastomer Systems, L.P. / Monsanto Chemical where he received the Master Technical Service Award. He was also instrumental in setting up a course of study for the State of Ohio in plastics processing while teaching at Maplewood Joint Vocational School in Ravenna, Ohio. Robert has been involved in the plastics industry for over 35 years. He is an active member of the SPE and has provided instruction and support through various colleges on plastics programs. He has authored and presented papers in two-shot/two-color molding and injection molding of TPEs, and holds a patent in the plastics products area. Robert is isted in "Who's Who in Plastics & Polymers, First Edition", and was inducted into the Akron SPE Plastics Hall of Honor.
