Elizabeth LeMoine has made the small her domain. LeMoine creates likenesses of mismatched
bits of the stuff of living, but in a scale that induces attention and absorption. Her sculptures cannot
be mistaken for toys or reproductions; their materiality is too ephemeral and prosaic. These objects
are pointed reconstructions of the mundane as the marvelous, enacting art's power to produce
meaning and context with the most slender of resources.

Elizabeth LeMoine lives and works in London. She attended the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and
Goldsmith's College of Art in London, where she received a Masters of Art degree in 1995. Her work
has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions around the world. LeMoine was Artist in Residence
at Sadlers' Wells in 2002, producing sculptural objects and animated video, which can be seen on
the Sadlers' Wells website.
