Church Affliation Statment



The Pleasant Olive Missionary Baptist Church was established in 1885 and has had a glorious history. It has remained a church within the Baptist denominational structure throughout the years. Currently and at the time of this writing, the church is 115 years in existence without a membership slip or division recorded. Throughout the years, the Pleasant Olive Baptist Church has been affiliated with the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., the General Baptist Missionary Convention of Texas and the Union Baptist District Association. The church has represented well in them all.

However, in most recent years (1991) the church has become "dually aligned" in that she has also become a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. Therefore, the church also has full affiliation and membership with the Southern Baptist Convention, The Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Waco Baptist Association. The Church represents and supports the efforts of the Baptist denomination well through both convention structures.
