1) Midnight Theme - background 'Crusaders'
jazzfunk for KRE hip F.M. station
friday evening drug information, what to
take, what not to, how much, purity tests,
inner freedom on the line, citylights
above the bay in the mountains and up
in the stars, the parties, lovers, music,
the ultrascenes and eras expanding
and fading away into psychedelic valentines.
2)
The Real Drug, Human Consciousness.
Labor Day Crickets in the blue black
night where the late summer constellations
are brilliant and houses reveal
the inner light of their inhabitants.
We have coffee. We ride the streets
on bicycles. We are the night.
We pay for all our freedoms and temporal
pleasures. Autoaccidents. Political
massacres. Air Crashes. Overdoses.
Bodily failures. Unknown Contributors.
Secret Societies. Planetary Grief.
The homeless settling somewhere in the night.
The lovers, happy to be together.
The Musicians paid and going home.
The economy defined as where the dollar
rests on you, electronic or in travelling
to influence or inform, a distraction,
illumination and prevention, the breath, prana,
higher grades of thought and living, credentials
to explore and view the other worlds - the sunset
blazing on the curve of the horizon.
3)
The Owl screeches thru the night sky.
Lone dog barks. The Cars
come back to the Doors. Cities
stay awake all night and wait
for the Sun to arise. Up in the
mountains space reveals itself
and cracks the granite, twists
the pine, feeds the blue alpine lake
and quiets the mind which has
brought everything to leave behind.
It's this question of control and
how we make a living and guidance.
We build temples only to leave them.
We organize to share the burden.
