Feelin' a bit "Peckish"

Chugging along on this train; we stop at a station and I decide to get off and go to a bookstore for some reading materials. As I look back to the train I realize that we've been traveling down the tracks in a big old buick driven by a friend of mine. At the bookstore I'm browsing, but am finding that there is no fiction here, only travel books, cookbooks, etc. Standing in front of a table filled with Tibetan artifacts and books, I pick up a small plastic bag with a small pillow-like object in it. I take it to the counter to pay the $4.00 for it, and ask the clerk just what it is. She says "Haven't the foggiest; if you ever figure out what it is, let us know."

Back at the station I realize that my friends in the railroad Buick had to drive away down the tracks because a train was coming. I wonder if they've gone around the corner to look for me or if the've continued down the tracks towards Mexico.

I start walking and find that I'm joined by Gregory Peck. He's talking about losing his hair. We follow the tracks into a town and are now joined by a teeny tiny nun. The three of us go into an ice cream parlor and the nun orders a glass of ice water "to go"; Gregory does the same. The clerk is upset with the nun; seems she does this on a regular basis. She's a wild little catholic and gives the clerk a hard time. I observe that this nun might be in need of a shave.

We walk out of the shop into the warm downtown afternoon sunshine the two of them sipping their ice waters and me wondering how much further it is to Mexico.

Analysis: We have here an example of an individual who is unable to keep "track" of his priorities. He also obviously has a sexual attraction to large American cars. The nun represents the bearded nature of religion in present day culture, while Gregory Peck represents himself and was paid scale to appear in this dream. I am still trying to determine just what sort of Tibetan object was in that plastic bag. A graduate student of mine is doing a thesis on that very subject. Excuse me now, I need a drink of water.
