Wednesday afternnon
in the car
patiently waiting
to turn right onto Willamette Street.
The usual rush of cars
and vans and trucks -
the unusual appearance of a small parade.
A toy wagon
with 2 passengers
being pulled along the sidewalk
by an exhausted mom
(or nanny or big sister).
One young passenger
with an outstreched arm
holds blonde Barbie
upside down
and watches in satisfaction
as Barbie sweeps the sidewalk.
