with floating decimal points
and mesmerizing "gray areas"

is their slave,
shackled in green chains
of dollar bills.
hypnotized by his own ignorance
he leads his people blindly
down a path of false promises
to the abyss.
they follow,
huddled closely together,
helpless in their fear

the terrorists
in their palaces
roll up their silken sleeves,
find a rich vein,
tap their golden needle
and inject another dose.
their comforting dream
carries them far away,
floating high above it all,
wrapped in endless, billowing clouds
of riches

far below,
those who care to see
understand that greedfreaks
are simply demented corporate junkies,
and that greedfreaks,
regardless of their hypnotizing wealth,
may well sit on golden thrones,
but do not take golden shits...
