Proposed Prime Crew Vance Brand and Donald Lind began training for a rescue mission for the Skylab 3 crew when their Apollo spacecraft developed leaks in two thruster quads. The rescue mission was cancelled when the problems were localized and workarounds were developed. The Skylab 3 crew returned to Earth in their Apollo spacecraft at the end of their 59 day mission. |
