WANTED !!

Dead or Alive !!

( Although there's a pretty good chance they're all dead !! )

Due to their elusive tendencies, the following ancestors have been placed on the F.B.I.'s (and MY) Most Wanted List !! If you come across their names in any legitimate sources, do NOT try to approach them!! They may try to flee again! Instead, just discreetly E-MAIL ME IMMEDIATELY!!

ALL, Janett; (b. ~1811 in Schoharie Co., NY). She was married to Simon Peter WILLSEY (see below). She is my direct maternal line. Family lore claims that she was a Native American. I cannot be sure of this until they lower the cost of comparing my mitochondrial DNA with her remains.

BIDLEMAN, Leonard; (b. abt. 1784 in PA or NJ) married to Hannah DOVE. Last seen in Hope Twp. NJ in 1850. They were the parents of 16 children! He is believed to be descended from the BEIDELMAN / BEUTELMAN immigrants who arrived in Philadelphia from Assenheim, Germany in abt. 1730. Some of his sons spelled their name BIDDLEMAN. Any clues to fill in the gaps will be appreciated.

DANFORTH, Joshua; ( b. ~1770). He was the father of Lucretia Danforth who married Abiathar Shippey.

DOVE, Hannah ( b. ~1785). (See BEIDELMAN, above).

EDINGER, Maria; (See HARTMAN, below.)

FRISBIE, Hiram A.; (b. abt. 1820 in Chenango Co., NY). Last seen in Newark Valley, Tioga Co., NY in 1870 with his wife and 5 children.

FULLER, Alvin or Alvah (prob. Alvin); (b. abt. 1805 in VT - relocated to Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY by 1830). Father to Sarah "Emeline" Fuller - FRISBIE (wife of Hiram, above). Alvin's wife's name was Martha. They were last seen in 1850 in the town of Harford, Cortland Co., NY.

HARTMAN, Jonathan: (b. Dec 1792 in Northampton Co. PA). He was married to Maria EDINGER . D.A.R. Records indicate that he was a son of Christian Hartman, but I believe this to be incorrect. His baptismal record states that his father's name was John. Jonathan and Maria settled in Hamilton, Monroe Co., PA and had children: John, Samuel, William, Aaron, & possibly others.

JONES, Alpheus: (b. ~1778 in CT or RI). Married Ruth LAKE (dau. of Daniel Lake and Ruth WADE) in Newport or Portsmouth, RI on 12 Oct 1802. They relocated first to VT, then to Orange Co., NY, then finally to Tioga Co., NY. Alpheus was last seen in 1865, living with his son, Daniel, in Tioga Co., NY.

KINGSBURY, Hannah (see ROBINSON, below). *** Update!!!! November, 1999, Hannah Kingsbury has been found!! Her lineage will soon be added to Ann's Ancestry.

MARTIN, George (b. later 1700's). Of Dutchess Co., NY. He had a son named Caleb "Dakins" Martin. I need to know if this George was the same as the George who was a son of Manasseh Martin and his second wife, Sarah.

MARTIN, Lott (b. later 1700's) and his wife, Ruth, of Dutchess Co., NY. Parents of Sarah A. (b. 1818), Gilbert (b. ~1829), and probably others. He may have been some relation to George (above).

McKEEVER, William (b. ~1797 in Delaware Co., NY). Wife's name was Elizabeth. They were last seen living in the town of Otego, Otsego Co., NY in 1870. They had children, William Jr (& wife Lydia), Samuel, Wilson, and probably others.

ROBINSON, Asher (b. ~1777 in CT) and wife Hannah KINGSBURY ( b.~1786 in CT): Settled in Caroline, Tompkins Co. NY by early 1800's. Children included Royal K., Martin, and Phila, and Thomas.

***New Addition*** ( Dec 1999)
SMITH, Wessels (b. mid 1700's), married a woman with the surname ROE (her first name is unknown, but she was a daughter of Nathaniel Roe). Wessels lived in Orange Co., NY (1790 census). His daughter, Elizabeth, married Joseph MIDDAUGH, and relocated to Tompkins Co., NY. Wessels parentage is unknown, but c'mon, who names their kid 'Wessels'?? I feel it must be a family surname.

WILLSEY, Simon Peter (b. 8 May 1811 in Albany Co., NY). Relocated for awhile to Otsego Co., NY, then eventually to Tompkins Co., NY by 1850. The "Dutch Settlers' Society Yearbook" states that his parents were James Willsey and Nancy Livingston, but that is incorrect.

WOOLEVER, Jacob. (b. 1783 in NJ). Married Mary KNAPP and relocated to Dryden, Tompkins Co., NY in early 1800's. Most of their children settled in Tompkins and Chemung Co.'s, NY.

ZIMMER, Adam (b. ~1789 in Albany Co., NY). Married Sarah TORREY. I have information stating his parents were Peter Zimmer and Elizabeth Beckstead, but I'm still uncertain.

The above individuals are sought for questioning as to who their parents are. They are accused of assorted and sundry crimes, including, but not limited to; failure To leave publicly recorded probate records; disappearing from states without leaving a forwarding address with the census takers; burning relevant church baptismal and marriage records; eluding the press so as not to have their obituaries published, and whimsically changing the spelling of their surnames before the creation of the census soundex system.
