Camp STRIDE

In the fall of 1990 a group of eight campers and a dozen volunteers spent a weekend in tents, and CampSTRIDE was born. The success of the skiing program paved the way for a warm-weather activity, and the camping trips have been hugely popular ever since. Currently, camping comprises four separate weekend trips each summer at both Thompson's Lake and Moreau Lake State Parks, and includes as many as 40-50 campers and volunteers in a single weekend.

Camp STRIDE pairs volunteer outdoor enthusiasts with campers ages 5 to 21, for a weekend of tent camping. The four trips each summer include all meals, tents, and fun activities. Just bring your sleeping bags and your best ghost stories to tell around the camp fire.
