STRIDE Sailing

Thanks to the efforts of sailing enthusiasts Pete Corsi and Dave MacConel, the Sailing program has been STRIDE's latest addition. Begun in the summer of 1996 as a pilot program with just four novice sailors, the introduction to the wind and waves has doubled in size in its very first year. Dry land classroom sessions are followed up with a practical sailing weekend in STRIDE's very own 14 ft. Skipper Sloop.

Boating safety and sailing skills are taught in a six week course leading to independent adaptive sailing techniques. Anchors away !
