Now that the cottage is finished, I'm looking forward the enjoying it. Inviting friends to join me in swimming, sailing, skiing. Relaxing in my hammock and reading. Motorboating through the canal system with Dave. One of my friends motored from Cayuga Lake through the New York State canal system to attend the Statue of Liberty celebration. How I envied her!
My father doesn't believe I can relax. He says I won't be able to sit and do nothing, that I'll always be busy with some project. He's probably right since that's the way he is and I'm a great deal like him.
Oh well, I've built something of which I'm proud, something that should stand for years. I've learned a lot and I've enjoyed doing it, but I wouldn't want to do it again as Dave is afraid I might.
