Dajando Smith is an amazing musician and is the love of my life. Together,we live and create from our humble abode in Washington, DC.This picture was taken by me in the Autumn of 1997 in Laurel, Maryland which is where Dajando grew up, and where his family still resides.

Daj plays electric bass guitar, electric guitar, keyboards, drums, and many electronic instruments such as his prized Roland MC-505 and his JV-1010. I know I am leaving many things out, but his freedom to experiment is specifically what makes him such a great musician-his versatility and self-expression.

For the past three years, Dajando has played bass at Felix every Saturday night with a band called Truth Groove. All of us who have seen Daj play know that he is outstanding and brings in quite an audience! Felix is a nightclub and restaurant located on 18th Street in an area called Adams Morgan. We will keep this site updated with information on where you can find Dajando playing in DC and beyond.
