BRIGHT LIGHT, INC.  &  BOSNIAN-CROATIAN RELIEF

Our mission is to provide food,medicines, medical supplies and equipment, refugee care items, vehicles and other supplies or programs to help the sick, injured, hungry or emotionally disturbed civilian victims of the war, regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.  Thus far, we have delivered over six million dollars worth of supplies into Croatia and Bosnia-Hercegovina.  Since the signing of the Dayton Peace Accord, we have continued to support the tens of thousands of people who continue to find themselves without housing or adequate medical care.

In early 1996, we purchased, shipped and constructed a complete playground in the devastated city of Sarajevo.  Its grand opening took place on August 28th of that year.  It has been named the "Park of Peace", and is a place for ALL children to play together and form new and lasting friendships.  We pray that the current peace will prevail, and the terrible suffering will finally be brought to an end.

In April of 1999, when the Kosovar refugees were pouring into Macedonia and Albania, the staff of Bright Light went there to assess the situation, deliver life-saving medicines, and to provide funding to reduce their suffering.

WE'RE A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT

Our small group differs from many other humanitarian organizations in that we have no overhead costs, and we receive no monetary compensation for our efforts.  Our time and service is completely voluntary.

All donations, unless specifically designated, have gone towards purchasing and shipping the much needed supplies into the war affected areas.  Each shipment has been personally delivered, by a representative of our organization, into the proper hands to avoid misuse or theft of the goods.  Also, each of us have paid our own air travel expenses.
