*** PEACE ON EARTH***

***GO SPURS GO in 2008!!!***

Now that I've returned from Russia, here a brief synopsis of life on the road: The Russia tour was fantastic!! Darren Kuper (Drums), Joel Dilley (Bass) and I left San Antonio on March 6th at approximately 6:30 AM. After brief stops in Cincinnati and NYC, we flew some 8 1/2 hours overseas and arrived at Moscow International Airport at 8:25 AM the next day. After meeting with our host, piano virtuoso Valeri Grokhovski, and his friends, Sergei and Misha (Michael), we loaded up three vehicles and drove into the heart of Moscow to Valeri's upscale apartment overlooking the Moscow river. After relaxing for a few hours, we hit the road for our first performance stop, Magnitogorsk. We had an excellent concert there, and then went to the following cities over a sixteen day period: Ekaterinberg (great hall-packed house), Kamensk (we played in their concert organ hall-another packed house), Perm (a large, cosmopolitan city with a great cultural scene-Good Times!!), Chelyabinsk (another organ hall-great crowds again), Surgut (live from Siberia. Very cold, but a very warm, receptive audience), Omsk (excellent hall, great audience, still Very Cold--Brrrr!!!), Moscow (we played at Valeri's old high school for a bunch of petroleum executives and a posh jazz-supper club in south-east Moscow-nice!), Kaliningrad (an old world German city; they treated us like royalty!), and back to Moscow (performing in the Dom Musikee-Moscow's top performance hall-Wow!!!).
We had standing ovations every night, all our meals, travel, and accomodations covered, and made some great new friends. There was talk at the end of the tour of recording a cd this summer and returning for another tour next year. My health was very good throughout, and I'm REALLY looking forward to working again with Valeri (imagine if you will, piano playing the likes of Art Tatum meeting Bill Evans....). And now, on with the show....

Look for New, Exciting Changes to this website, Coming Soon! Thanks Emily!!!
