To the Friends and Relatives of Ian

Ian has got himself into a medical crisis, and hospital, in his usual grand style. Joanne has been told his prognosis is good, but it's going to be a long haul.

He got an internal infection from a splinter, gardening, and was admitted to Northwest Hospital, Seattle on Tuesday August 23 with a Tetanus Infection. It is a very rare condition here. There were only 44 cases of this in the U.S. last year. Ian elected to be medically paralysed and sedated to stop the intense pain and this medical course may take a few weeks to unfold.

Joanne has been told that he needs to be kept in a quiet non-stimulating environment, and that it will be some time before Ian will be conscious.

This website will be updated on a daily basis if possible so all of Ian's friends can keep current on his condition.

Messages and input to the web-site are welcome and new pages can be added.  To send input to the web-site, e-mail me at rodney.broome@prodigy.net

Your support is appreciated by Joanne and all our prayers are with Ian.
