Twenty stations participated over a 2 1/2 hour period. OMEN: OMEN (Oneida-Madison Emergency Net) meets twice a month on the 145.170 MHz W2MO repeater. OMEN is an ARES/RACES training net. Nets are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 1915 local time and typically last from 15 to 30 minutes. SNOW SPOTTERS NET: To help the National

Text Box: Weather Service, one of our served agencies, O-M ARES conducts a snow spotters net on the W2MO repeater every evening at 1915 local time whenever there has been a significant accumulation of snow over the past 24 hours. For the purpose of the snow spotters net, a significant accumulation is defined as 3 or more inches of snow at least somewhere in the greater Oneida and Madison county area. Anyone can call a snow spotters net and instructions are available on the O-M ARES Website. For information about how to measure snow fall accumulation, check out the website of the BGM NWS Website.
