You get an email message warning you about some nefarious virus, worm, or other nasty critter that could be lurking in your PC. You're urged to search your hard drive for any instances of this file and "DELETE" it! Should you?
Perhaps it describes the wild eyed fanatic plot some low life scum is hatching to get "Touched by an Angel" removed from the TV lineup because it depicts angels and mentions God. You're exhorted to immediately forward this dire message on to "EVERYONE" in your address book. Should you?
Well, it depends. Is the message for real, an "Urban Legend", or just a malicious prank wafting around the nebulous ether of the World Wide Web?
So who ya gonna call?
There are actually web sites dedicated in part or whole to researching and cataloging these things. Links to a few of the sites are shown on the right (in no particular order) and there are no doubt many more.
