The Bontecou Family

Pierre Bontecou's daughter, Sara, married Alexander Resseguie in 1709.
This was written by Colonel James Tompkins Watson and appears in the Journal of American History, 4 (January-March 1910), pp. 127-131. It was written in about 1908 and contains information on persecutions of the French Huguenots and their flight to America. It contains information on several of the earliest French Huguenot immigrants including Alexander Resseguie and Sarah Bontecou. It also contains a journal of one of their descendants, Timothy Resseguie, a British soldier in the American Revolution.
