TRAVEL OR HOUSE
If your child was a house player this year, you should consider him/her for our SWS Hockey program. The
benefits are:
- Your child plays with/ against children close to age..
- Game schedules are provided in October for whole season.
- Almost double the ice time.
- Limited travel
- Improved competitive play.
- 2 or 3 different levels of play in each division to keep games close.
The following are the age classifications for this year’s travel teams along with the number of players we have
throughout the league in those specific years.
(Most 1998 & younger players should consider mighty mites if they have already participated
in instructional.
)
1997 & younger = Players are all considered Mites
1996 = (Last Year Mite)
1995 = (1st Year Squirt)
1994 = (2nd Year Squirt)
1993 = (1st Year Peewee)
1992 = (2nd Year Peewee)
1991 = (1st Year Bantam)
1990 = (2nd Year Bantam)
1989 and older =
BE A BOARD MEMBER
Posted in the hallway next to the rink snack shop is a bulletin board. Look here to see which board positions are
open. If you feel you would like to help volunteer to run the league, please turn in a letter requesting the position
you would like. Most positions run for 2 years unless a position was resigned. In that case, the position is for one
year. All requests should be made either directly to a board member or via the website at
www.swsyouthhockey.org.
COACHES
Anyone interested in coaching next year should also register at the registration sessions so the board knows all
interested parties. Please specify whether you want to be a Head Coach, Assistant Coach or either. Questions may
be directed to President John Ventura at 508-672-1487.
If any members have concerns about our league, one private way to
let your feelings/thoughts known is to email our
webmaster and it will be forwarded to the President John Ventura.
If you feel there is a problem with any facet of the league,
the President needs to know so the issue can be reviewed.
Telling other parents/coaches or complaining with other parents/coaches will not
resolve an issue because the Board of Directors will not know
that there is one..
