One day Mary had a big surprise. The angel Gabriel appeared to her! He said,"Hail Mary, full of grace."

Then the angel Gabriel said, "The Lord is with thee."

Then the angel Gabriel said, "Blessed art thou among women."

Would you be afraid if an angel appeared and said these things to you? Mary was! The angel told her not to be afraid. He told her that she would have a baby and the baby would be called Jesus. The baby would be God's son! The angel told her that her cousin Elizabeth, who was too old to have a baby, was going to have a baby too! Her baby would be called John. John would tell many people that Jesus was coming. Angel Gabriel said to Mary, "All things are possible with God!" Mary loved God with all her heart. Mary trusted God and she knew that God loved her. So Mary told the angel Gabriel that she wanted it to happen to her as God said. She said YES to God.
	How can you say YES to God?
When the angel left, Mary hurried to visit her cousin Elizabeth!
