Hello from Miss Sabrina

Welcome to everyone!!!

Today in class we learned that Jesus was the one who taught us The Our Father, over 2,000 years ago! We learned what all the words mean in the first half of the prayer, and talked about how being kind and loving helps serve the kingdom of God. Click on the first sun above to go to a fun quiz about the Our Father and a mouse fun game where Gods love follows you everywhere!

Homework is to say The Our Father prayer every day. If you forget a day, don't worry, just do it twice the next day. In class next week you will get a sticker for doing your homework! If you would like to say the Our Father prayer with Miss Angie when she was your age, click here. You can print out this page to use as your homework sheet if you lose yours too.

If you take one of the quizzes ask a parent if you can send me an email to let me know, or you can bring a note to class, and you will get a sticker!


Special Happenings:

  • Thanksgiving Food Drive
    • St Joseph's Family Center will be preparing care packs for Thanksgiving. In support, students may bring donations of any of the following items before Thanksgiving week:
      • stuffing mix
      • canned fruit
      • canned yams
      • canned vegetables
      • canned cranberry sauce
      • 5 lb bag of white sugar
      • 5 lb bag of potatoes
      • 5 lb bag of flour
      • iodized salt/fresh fruit
      • Dried goods and potatoes may also be brought in throughout the food drive

    • Childrens Choir
      • Starts Oct 8, 2009, join anytime!
      • Open to all school age children
      • Practices Thursdays 3:15-4:15 in the Chapel
      • Call the parish for more info


    Let us welcome our new Pope


Let us all welcome our new Pope, Pope Benedict XVI! (The XVI is part of his name that means he is the sixteenth Pope to have that name.)



We can say a prayer for him.

"God bless our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI".







We can say a prayer for Pope John Paul II in heaven too.
