Hello from Miss Sabrina

What an exciting weekend! Pope Benedict XVI visited us in the United States! He came to New York and Washington D.C. We are so happy he came to visit our country. Many people came to see him and he sends his blessings to all people in America.

Our pope is the leader of our Catholic Church all over the world. We call him Holy Father because he guides us and prays for us. He asks us to pray for him too, so in class today we prayed a decade of the rosary for him, and for all his prayer intentions. (That means we asked God to answer his prayers.) We prayed for our own prayer intentions too. We talked about our Holy Father and colored a picture of him. You can print out a picture to color here.

Our class has all learned the Our Father! Most of the children have leaned the Hail Mary too!

Click on the first sun above to go to all our review lessons. There are new fun games! I have been a little behind in updating, but am catching up, so check back. The Stations of the Cross Coloring Book we made in class before Easter can now be viewed in our review lessons too!

  • Only one more class before vacation, on April 28, 2008. After we review the year we will have a party and play on the playground. Don't forget to register for next year!
    • Parents who would like to bring a nutritious snack for our party, call or email me.

  • End of Year Mass for CCD Families on Thursday, May 1st at 7:00 PM in the Church

Let us all welcome our new Pope, Pope Benedict XVI! (The XVI is part of his name that means he is the sixteenth Pope to have that name.)



We can say a prayer for him.

"God bless our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI".
