When Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth, who was too old to have babies, she discovered something wonderful had happened. Elizabeth was going to have a baby, just like the angel said she would! She was going to have a baby named John. Now, when Mary came to visit Elizabeth, Jesus was just starting to grow in Mary's tummy. Jesus was still very, very tiny. But Elizabeth's baby knew Jesus was near. And he was so happy he couldn't sit still! Can you guess what Elizabeth's baby did? This is what he did: When Mary came to visit, John leaped for joy, right there inside Elizabeth's tummy! Elizabeth said to Mary, "Blessed art thou among women."

Then Elizabeth said, "And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus."

Mary was so happy! She talked to Elizabeth about how much God had blessed her and how much God had blessed others. She talked about how wonderful God is!

Mary stayed with Elizabeth for three months and then she went home. Then Mary and her husband Joseph got ready for a long trip to Bethlehem, where Jesus would be born!
