and Kelle, too! |

What's to say? I'm a dog! I like food, being petted, and am ever-vigilant against intruding cats. My name is properly pronounced "KHEH-luh," which is German for "ladle" or "scoop." I was stolen from neglectful, bad people at about 3 months, and turned 4 years old in June 2000. I'm healthy, happy (it helps to have a brain the size of a fig), and love my grandparents...Hannah...Beck...my special friend & hero Kelly...and the beach. I re-adjusted pretty well to city life after a year in the country, and love our house and yard. In the last year or so, I learned the real names for my people! I used to call the one who rescued me "Snack Boy." No explanation necessary. I've since learned his name is "Daddy." The other one, who I used to think of as "the other one," or "the one who spends the days in the place with hot dogs and ice cream" (oh, why won't they let me live there?) is named "Tracy." Sometimes when Snack Boy, I mean Daddy, tells me to "go get Tracy," I get confused and think he means "go get the kitty." Darn cats, messing around with my gazebo and pond! Trying to eat my birds, too! Anyway, my vocabulary is growing, and I've managed to restrain my chewing to authorized items for quite some time! I've been lucky enough to have two long vacations from guarding the yard. My people took me to Grandma Judy's & Grandpa Ron's house in Edmonds and left me for two weeks each time. I got to play with human cousin Beck, doggie cousin Emma, and the kids across the street. I never get to see that many people at home! Plus, I got lots of exercise! I don't know where Snackboy and The Other One went (I heard the words "Midwest" and "Ireland." Whatever.), but they missed out on all the fun! In these pictures, I'm at Kalaloch (on the Olympic Peninsula's coast), with Tracy's cousin Becca from Rochester, MN. I had SO much fun playing with her, I was even willing to fetch like a normal dog, and in the water, to boot! I was pooped for a couple of days after this, but it was worth it.
