Welcome to Sandi's Suite

My husband is retired from the Air Force and has worked for the Post Office for 27 years. His hobbies are bowling and watching TV sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. His home is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mine is South Carolina, so occasionally we "re-fight" the Civil War.

Some of my interests and hobbies are: gardening, sewing, piano, crafts, reading, this web site, and about anything else that piques my interest. My problem is that there isn't enough time, good health, and money to do all that I would like to do. I have written some poems in the past: some are about Jesus and some about children. We live in the desert, so I don't have a lot of good luck with my gardening, which is something I took up about 10 years ago, mainly because I get so homesick for the trees, grass and flowers back home. So I have tried to have a small bit of South Carolina here in the middle of this "barren place." I even bought some Spanish moss to hang from my trees in the back yard. It has long since blown away. I do have some nice roses in the spring and about half of what I plant makes it through the summer. So maybe one day the yard will be filled with flowers. Sometimes I seem to relate to the plants and flowers, inasmuch as we are transplanted into a place that is out of our element. But, for some reason, this is where God has me, so I will try to bloom where I am planted.

I have also been interested in genealogy for about 5 years and, along with help from my sister and others, have researched my birth family back to the middle 1700's. I got stuck there, hit a brick wall. Recently I have turned to researching the Hedgepath family,my adopted mother's maiden name.
