Porter Cable 333ROS
This is a very good sander. The Velcro pad wears out pretty quick though and the paper is expensive.
Porter Cable 690 Router
This is the fixed-base version. This was my first real router. It turned out to be an excellent first choice as it will do most of the things I need done. Poor switch location! Hard start is a downer, too.
Dewalt DW705 CMS
This mass of machinery would cut your fingers off without even taking a deep breath. This is a manly tool. Big, powerful and pretty. I love it!
Dewalt DW621 Router
This is now my favorite router. 2HP with soft start and variable speed. I don't like the base because it tips easier than the Porter Cable. Quiet for a router.
