SPAM is unsolicited, unwanted eMail.
Unlike many computer terms it's not an Acronym, It's not S.P.A.M. but simply SPAM.
The ideal SPAM avoidance scheme is simply never to get on the SPAM generating mailing lists.
Do NOT start giving everyone under the sun your primary eMail address.
Typically you'll want to keep your primary address private, just for business associates, family, and friends.
Create another eMail address that you use for public purposes and use it, Consider using yet a third when you request information from web sites.
The are Free eMail providers all over the internet: Microsoft's HotMail, Yahoo Mail, and many, many more. Use them!
