Internet & eMail Usage

I've trained many a user what the internet is and how to use it; what eMail is and how to use it (and the possibly more important how NOT to use it ;)

But how to use only the internet to help an utter novice to the internet to eMail mail me about how to use the internet?

Hmmmmm...  That might take some doing...  {Grins}

If you navigated this far by yourself, I'd guess you likely have an eMail account with your Internet Service Provider, or ISP, and it may even have already been automatically set-up for you.

If so you should be able to eMail me by simply clicking my eMail address below, typing your message, and then simply clicking SEND.

At the same time you can test your eMail program by simply typing your own eMail address in the CC: box before clicking SEND 

(CC: means to send a "Carbon Copy" )

If clicking SEND gives you an error, or if after several times clicking SEND AND RECEIVE (waiting about a minute between tries) if you still don't get see a copy of the message you just sent in your "INBOX" then you don't have eMail correctly set-up on your system.  The easiest way to fix this is to call the "Tech Support" at your ISP (the the firm that connects you to the internet is your ISP, your Internet Service Provider.)

At risk of alarming some of you, let me remind you that in this day and age of threats to your computer as diverse as "Hackers" and "Trojan Horse's" to "Viruses," "Worms," and "Malicious Macros," if you're on the internet you ought to have given at least some thought into System Security, especially it it's your business or a network on the internet.
