Rice's 8 catches for 166 yards and 2 TDs in Anaheim against the Rams featured the one handed catch that you will always see in those highlight videos.
Did You Know...
1993 was the first season in which Rice did not catch a touchdown against the Falcons. He did rush for a 39 yard TD against Atlanta at home, though.
Play of the Year
In Week 15 at the Silverdome, Rice runs a post route over the middle. Steve Young throws it downfield. With a defender latched onto him, Rice manages to haul in the pass over the shoulders, maintain his balance by supporting the football in his right hand and lifting up his body with his left hand while in a three point stance. It almost looks as if Rice is doing a one handed push up. The defender falls down and Rice, whose knees have never touched the turf, is able to jog in the remaning 20 yards for an 80 yard TD bomb.
