The Raiders faced Denver on Monday Night Football with a 4-4 record. They had just lost four straight games. Rice saw to it that the Raiders would not lose a fifth. His 9 catch, 103 yard, 2 TD performance included TD scores of 6 and 34 yards that put the Raiders ahead and put the Broncos away for good. Along the way, he surpassed the 200 touchdown mark and catapulted the Raiders to 7 wins in their last 8 contests en route to a Super Bowl appearance.
