If you can see this, you are in the wrong place. Please change your bookmarks, and go to http://immeritus.org

Thanks!

04.05.05: Have you seen our new gallery? It has all the art that we have on our current site, but it also has lots more, with plenty to come. Check out http://www.immeritus.org/gallery and comment!

03.14.05: New boards! Forget ezboards, now we have our own place, so make sure you update your bookmarks. We are at http://www.immeritus.org/boards . If you had an account at our boards at EZ, you should have gotten an email. If you didn't receive an email, after checking your Bulk Mail Folder, you must send an email to magicalobizuth @ immeritus.org with your screenname (no screenname, I may not even bother to reply). Enjoy!

11.29.04: It has been a while since I updated. Been pretty busy in real life, and trying to focus on a new version of the site has been hard. For now, you will find that our member list has been updated.

10.04.04: We have our own domain now, www.immeritus.org. For some reason that www.v3.com will not tell me (customer support is horrid as it seems to be nonexistent), our http://yours.at/siriusblack has ceased to work. I am very upset by this because of our banners and merchandise that have this url on them, including the stickers that I am still sending out. But I will let that sit back because finally having our own url is a big step towards our new set up.

09.03.04: Layout contest results were previously posted on our boards, so many of you know them already, but in case you don't, check it out here. There you will also find all the previously removed entries and this time, with the artist's names on them. Thanks to all the artists and all the voters for making this an exciting event for everyone.

09.01.04: I am back! Alright kiddos, I haven't been able to update for many reasons.

  1. I just got married.
  2. We just moved in to our new apartment.
  3. Therefore, everything was in boxes.
  4. I left my computer at my sister's because I didn't have time for it yet.
  5. I got it back but we didn't have the network all set up yet.

Now everything is great though and I am looking forward to more updates. My next update will include the gallery with all the layout entries, and hopefully, the new layout art as well. There is also a little treat in store for all the contestants, so stay tuned!

08.13.04: And it's that time again --

Immeritus is currently celebrating its 3rd Birthday!

So, join in the fun at the Immeritus Board -- there will be activities running in chat, sure to be a real party, with Immeritus prizes and what promises to be a lot of fun! Here's to hoping for many more years of spreading the Sirius Black love!

07.18.04: The voting for the new layout is now over! Thank you to everyone who sent us fanart, as well as those of you who voted. We appreciate your participation -- the results will be up soon!

06.28.04: It seems as though JK has finally revealed the title of the 6th book! Check out this thread in the Library for screencaps and comments (note, if you want to figure out how to find it for yourself, do not follow the link).

Also, we are still taking votes for the layout contest! Details here. <-- no more link ;]

06.14.04: Prisoner of Azkaban has been released in most countries at this point, and discussion is hot on the boards. Feel free to drop on by and discuss at the Cinema.

And now for something that you have all been waiting for...

Layout Contest Voting is now OPEN! Please click here for rules and voting procedures. Spread the word and tell everyone to vote. We received 13 entries (and unfortunately had to decline a few great ones that were sent past the deadline) and they need your votes right now. So what are you waiting for? Click here. Update: when you vote, you will be automatically entered into a random drawing. Follow the link for more details.

Oh, and some awesome new merchandise has been added to our shop, go check it out.

06.02.04: We received many contest entries and will be posting them soon. For now, I updated the member's list and the birthday script for those club members that supplied a birthday. Remember to come on over to the boards and talk about PoA once you've seen it this weekend!

05.24.03: Oh man. Had I let the affiliates creep up on me or what? I am so sorry for letting it take so long. I have updated the affiliates with wonderful new sites that have contacted us to affiliate, as well as removed dead links/sites. If yours is one of the missing, then please contact us and it shall be remedied.

On other news, the deadline for our Contest is one week away, so I hope you've been working on a great entry for us! So far, we have some wonderful art that should make for some good competition.

05:21.04: PoA Movie Posters have made their way into our Black Owlery. Send them out to your friends when you are making plans to see the movie, that comes out in ... 13 Days! Also not that I added a"Something Wicked This Way Comes" midi to the collection for you to spruce up your ecards with. And I added new stuff to our Immeritus Merchandise Store, so check it out.

Don't forget about our Contest! So far, we have some really nice entries, but we want MORE! ;)

-Mag

05.20.04: A lot is going on right now. We owe you people an update. We've owed you an update for months now, and with the new crowd and the new movie coming out, we want to say that there is no better time to do that then now. But, there are problems, like space and bandwidth issues that we still need to resolve. So right now we are still looking at what we will update, and how we will update. But for now, I would like to announce a new contest:

Immeritus Layout Art Contest
Deadline: May 31st, 2004.

We've been wanting to renovate a little, and originally, HRB was going to draw another Sirius Black piece for our layout. But now that we have the attention of a few more people, we would like to have a little fun with it and make a contest out of it.

So what are we looking for? A picture of Sirius Black (not marauders, just him). Something that fits in the current layout that we have. We aren't looking to change any of our layout other than the picture and color scheme. We like to stay monochromatic (we had a burgundy phase, our current blue phase) and now we want to go back to 'our roots' and go into the reds. Your submission should be in one solid color (monochromatic), original artwork, that has not been submitted anywhere else. We most likely will be going over it with a color layer converting all the blacks/greys to some sort of red (if you don't understand that, just look to your right - that is all with a blue layer on top).

Send your submissions to siriusblack@prodigy.net with "Layout Contest" in the subject. In the content of the email, give us your name that you like to be called, your ezBoard screenname (if applicable), and of course, the picture attached.

Winner will be chosen by popular vote, so don't go anywhere.

Udpate: I forgot to mention: All entries will be kept for use at Immeritus, which may include getting put in a gallery, ecards, having wallpapers made, etc. If you do not wish to have your work included in any additional Immeritus activities, please notify us in your submission email. We don't want your hard work to go to waste, and since there can only really be one winner, we would like the chance to work with the rest of the entries in various ways. But if you have a different idea for your work, we won't hold it against you. ;)

-Mag

05.16.04: Oh my. Well -- as many of you know, today has been a ride of exceptional surprises and excitement, and one filled with great, heartfelt gratitude. [To be honest, today was also a day for squeeing and rolling about on the floor in shock, but I suppose that with what happened, that's a total given.]

J.K. Rowling's new site, which features a load of neat hidden things to check out, also held something unexpected and all around amazing-- Immeritus was given the first ever Fan Site Award. By J.K. herself.

:D :D :D

Her new site, transformed from that old list of publishers to something truly impressive, is all the more fantastic because all the text and commentary is written by J.K. herself. She talks canon, shakes off some rumors, and says her new site shall be the true door between herself and fandom, something for which I'm sure we're all be happy for.

I love this site, which I discovered towards the end of writing Order of the Phoenix, and which made me feel exceptionally guilty, as you can imagine. I am so proud of the fact that a character, whom I always liked very much, though he never appeared as much more than a brooding presence in the books, has gained a passionate fan-club.

At the launch of Goblet of Fire at King's Cross, London, I shook hands with a woman who leaned forward and whispered conspiratorially, 'Sirius Black is sexy, right?' And yes, of course she was right, as the Immeritus club know. The best-looking, most rebellious, most dangerous of the four marauders... and to answer one burning question on the discussion boards, his eyes are grey.

The fan art on here is very good. For a while I had a picture of the four marauders drawn by Laura Freeman on my desktop. It is a particularly accurate portrayal of Sirius and Lupin. -- J.K.

We cannot thank Rowling enough for giving us this honor. Immeritus has always sought to bring the Sirius Black fanbase together, and we are proud to say that to a certain extent, we have thus far succeeded. This site will continue to do its best, and we're all proud of our staff and members alike -- no matter what Order of the Phoenix brought, our love for his character continues to spark every comment on our board, every discussion in the chatroom. Thank you, Rowling, for letting us know that you understand and appreciate that.

-Immeritus Staff

EDIT: And in the utter chaotic excitement, we forgot to congratulate Laura herself! Hee, a great giant hug from us, dear -- YOUR ART WAS ON HER DESKTOP. Dude. :p [If you are ignorant of Laura's [Nasubionna] works, check her stuff out here in the fanart section and become englightened towards her talent!] Congrats again!

02.04.04: I wish I had a real update to share, but I don't. I have been insanely busy and stressed planning my wedding for July, and HRB has been very busy with school projects and such. Cross your fingers and hope for a real update soon. For now though, we hope you enjoyed the screensaver featuring all of our archived fanartists as of Dec 2003.

12.15.03: Just added two new ecards to The Black Owlery. Check them out and send them to your friends for the holidays!

11.27.03: Christina Joy Sanders, known as kokiri85 on our boards, has been added to our fanart gallery. Please remember to review!

11.18.03: All new! Completely unexpected, and on a creative whim, I made a few bookmarks for you to enjoy, download, print, and use. This was fun and I think that if you enjoy them, I shall make more. Check under media.

11.16.03: Thanks to board member sniffles4snuffles806 for the awesome new counter. Visit her site to get the code. Note: That background is exclusively for Immeritus use only.

11.13.03: New icons, look under media. Also -- check out the new Emma Thompson as Trelawney, just out!

11.12.03: More places to download the PoA trailer are located here. We also have screengrabs now, thanks to Anita, check the PoA Movie Gallery.

11.12.03: PoA Trailer is out! Download here. Thanks Ali! Screencaps coming soon (the sooner someone sends us a link to good screencaps, the sooner we'll have them ;) ).

11.07.03: Another quick update to the PoA Movie Gallery.

11.06.03: Updated the PoA Movie Gallery.

09.28.03: Updated Fanart and Store. Two new Ayne pieces and one Syrena. Enjoy!

09.18.03: Updated the member's list.

08.31.03: Thanks to all of our voters, we won first place in all five categories we were nominated in at the RAG Awards. Check out our About Site to see them. Also, if you were at that site in the last round, you will notice that there have been many pleasant changes to the layout and awards structure.

08.12.03: From The Leaky Cauldron:
"PoA Cast Prepares For "Wet Quidditch".

The North Devon Gazette has article on Reed Chill Cheater, a North Devon company that has just finished a large order of innovative thermal suits for the PoA film!

“Apparently it is for an incredibly wet Quidditch game,” said owner Chris Reed.

Also, we are preparing for a wonderful time here on the 14th of August (that would be this Thursday), for our second birthday! If you stop by, make sure to check in at the chat as we will all try and be there as much as possible that day (this would be the chat at the boards). We have some wonderful surprises in store for everyone!

07.29.03: Alright, it took us a while, but we got it going. HRB and I have now set up the new PoA Movie Gallery. Check it out. Now. And then go on over to the boards to discuss.

Also, we've signed up for some awards sites, so make sure and vote when you can.

-Mag

07.27.03: Happy Birthday to my dad (our dad, HRB). Anywho, I have a great update for you fanart lovers. There's a few new pictures by artists Kristin, Maggie, and Tina, as well as some lovely wallpapers made by Tina with her artwork. Go check out the fanart gallery and the wallpaper gallery.

Also, added a lovely sad ecard to our Black Owelry. Send it to your friends and mourn together.

-Mag

07.22.03: We now have a great pic of Gary Oldman in costume as Sirius Black! Click here to see it, and click here to discuss and comment on our messageboards.

-Mag

07.06.03: So you've finished OotP...

We all loved Sirius Black. He was a character with personality, passion and care. For 3 books, we learned how to love and admire him. Now, after OotP, we will need to learn how to read the books again and see that we were cherished to have such a wonderful character to read about. We loved him before OotP, and we will still love him. We will need time to mourn him... To celebrate the life he had... And what better way than with the other people who loved the man. You can come on our boards for comfort and discussion, we'll always be there to love and admire Sirius Black.

The SBFC President,
Hermione20

06.24.03: OotP is out. Yay. Read it, then go to our new OotP Forum and discuss. Do not, I repeat, do not go there until you are done. The whole forum is one big spoiler. Oh, and if you haven't finished it yet, I suggest avoiding the guestbook as well. It is also a spoiler zone.

And for you self-centered, dimwitted, sorry excuses for fans that came on the tagboard on Saturday, and ruined the book for the hundreds of people (HRB and myself, included) that visited the site that morning: if you ever come to the boards, I sure hope you use your brain this time and sign-up under a different name, or you will get banned.

-Mag

06.11.03: OK, so with regards to a few issues:

  • Kristin's gallery: Fixed those. I think there were only two messed up links (the first two). Thanks Siri, for pointing those out.
  • Ayne's link does work. I don't know why you can't get there, Siri. Try again?
  • Sothis, Sira, are both of you on Mac's? The problem may be with the Mac's. I told you, they suck. That aside, I will try to find out what I can do to accomodate that situation, because as far as I know, there are no other problems with the menu - for now. *sigh* One thing though: the copy/paste links idea is great Sira, but unacceptable from my point of view. I have to fix this.

Someone is helping with the board layout (actually, she's gonna gimme the code) so it will match perfectly with our site. Messed up menus and all. lol

-Mag

O6.10.03: Two new works for the PFC! Achylde's wonderful The Storytellers, and Crow's enchanting Faith (for all of you perceptive folks, the latter merely to the main menu. it had been up since last week =). Go and read them, and please bother to review! Thanks to all of our resident authors and artists, you guys are great.

Lastly, welcome to our newest members: MexicanSmiley429 (Lady Pyro), Zaahn and Lancesangel4ever21 (Jammie)! Make yourselves at home!

-HRB

06.05.03: For someone who said she wasn't gonna be on much, I am certainly on a lot. I have taken care of a few more snaffu's (like Kristin's mispelled name everywhere on the site, and Innocence Ch 5 being missing).

Also, something that you may or may not have noticed: on the wallpapers on this site, there are two urls for credit. One is the original artist's, the other is us. Yes, http://yours.at/siriusblack is also our url. It's what is known as a forwarding url which you can use as a shortcut. It is easier to remember than our prodigy url. Also, if we ever move elsewhere, that url will point you to the right place. This conviniece, of course, comes at a price. When you use that url, you will get a pop-up or two. That should be it though, so it's not that bad. Use/bookmark whichever you like. Either way, you should jot that one down because like I said, if we ever move, that will take you to our new home.

This is Mag, signing off.

06.04.03: Fixed the messed up menu and updated the member's list. That's all I really had time to do. Thanks to our affiliates, we are getting some really great members coming along. -Mag

06.03.03: Updates: First of all, welcome to our newest members: Mandella Myrtle and MsSiriusWhite! Good job on getting in, happy to have you. Alsom we have a few more wonderful affiliates since last time: Dear Diary, The Real Marauders, theLair, Inseparable, Torch the Moon and Brilliance. Thanks much, you guys are awesome.

Third order of business, Crow's wonderful fanfic Faith has been added to the PFC. Go over and read it, it's really worth the time, but don't you leave without reviewing!

Last but not least, the stupid menu has been messing up for reasons we cannot begin to fathom. Content's still there, though, and if you actually click on the main subjects (About, Fanworks, Media...) you'll be able to reach it nonetheless. Sorry about that, ladies and gents. We hope to do something about that soon.

See you, and have a nice day. -HRB

05.15.03: We've been talking about it for some time now, and finally, we're done. You are looking at the new face of the SBFC (aka Immeritus). We hope you like it, I know that I am much prouder of this site than the last one. If you are returning, thanks for coming back. Check out all our new stuff: more fanart, more fanfics, wallpapers, sprites, and affiliates. To come: screensavers, icons, and more.

The name Immeritus was an officer favorite (particularly for Siri, our secretary), so when it was voted as the favorite on our site poll, we embraced it. In Latin, Immeritus means "innocent, unworthy of punishment", thus we found it more than suitable for our club's new name.

If this is your first time here, prepare to spend plenty of time looking through our site. We have a lot to offer, and great message boards to discuss Sirius Black and all things Harry Potter to keep you coming back for more.

Enjoy!

03.10.03: A certain guestbook entry has brought it to Mag and me's attention that it might be a smidget confusing to review on either fanart or fanfiction. Thus I've decided it'd be best to explain what this consists of below:

Reviews: If one wishes to review on the SBFC boards, which is the location our 'Review' button leads to, one needs to register as a member at the messageboard itself first. This, however, does not make one an actual club member; it merely enables one to post. Anyone with interest can sign up, which is, I repeat, something necessary in order to properly review.

If, however, you do not want to sign up, then you may leave your review at our guestbook. Club officers, given the chance, will do you the courtey of posting it at the corresponding thread on the boards (unless, of course, you wish otherwise).

I hope that clears up any misunderstandings. It was never intended to confuse anyone, and we're truly sorry if it did. -HRB

01.24.03: Updated PFC to add Aestus4Black's stunning The Lost Soldier. It is both short and sad, not to mention thought provoking. Go over and read it, and don't forget to review.

On other news, it seems official that Sirius Black will be played by award-winning actor Gary Oldman. This is just a rumour, but a strong one nonetheless. Let's just hope whoever does get the part lives up to all of our expectations. (Or else.) -HRB

01.06.03: Replaced the messed up counter with a new one that reflects just how popular Sirius Black is getting these days. -Mag

01.03.03: I've finally gotten around to posting Penny & Carole's legendary A Sirius Affair. It absolutely rocks, ladies and gentlemen. If you don't read it, well, boo to you.

Not to mention the SBFC's Coloring Contest has finally been closed. If you're wondering what took so long, well, join the club -HRB

11.12.02: Mrs. Grim's Dreams Don't Die (6/6) has been updated to the Cavern today. Go ahead and enjoy it, but don't forget to tell her what you thought about it once your done. -HRB

11.11.02: TreesaStarbryte's Animagus (Chapter 1) is our newest addition to Padfoot's Fanfic Cavern. Be sure to check that out, and don't forget to leave a review. -HRB

11.10.02: We have received our coloring contest entries and now it is your chance to view them and vote for the best one! You can vote once everyday, so go on over and vote now!

Also: Iniga's series has now been completely updated on to Padfoot's Fanfic Cavern, so go on over, that is, if you feel like having a good time. -HRB

10.21.02: Application procedures have now changed. Please check the bottom of the page. Thanks!

10. 17.02: Padfoot's Fanfic Cavern is now open!

10.06.02: The Sirius Black Fan Club One Year Anniversary Coloring Contest Celebration has been launched!

10.06.02: I checked the results for the Wigardium Awards, and it looks like we got third place for "Best Character Shrine"! They haven't e-mailed the graphics yet. Bummer huh? We also got a Dobby Award that was never sent. Another bummer. How am I supposed to show off? lol

08.28.02: We've made it through the pre-round and now the first round as well at the Wingardium Awards! Please, go and vote for us as "Best Character Shrine". You can vote everyday! And we also won at the Dobby Awards a while back, but I've been waiting for them to send me the award picture, but they haven't sent it yet :o(

08.17.02: Great News!! I have just submitted payment to ezboard so that we may have a wonderful ad-free, spiced up message board! The payment should be going through shortly, and the perks will be kicking in real soon. So now you can enjoy the boards more than ever!

05.25.02: We just moved. Please update your bookmarks.
http://pages.prodigy.net/siriusblack

We Won!

HP Devotions was entered in the Golden Snitch Awards. Well, HP Devo didn't win, but guess who got best Sirius Black Fansite . . . .you got it! We did! I know, the thing says Harry Potter Devotions, but that is because I am in charge of both, so it is mistake in nomenclature. It's all the same, we won! :-D

01.04.02
We just opened up new forums for our club members. Now you can give feedback on the site, fanart, fanfics, or talk about anything Sirius! Check them out here (links available at the bottom of every main page).
