Help Wanted: During Lycée Sisowath Alumni First Reunion on May 24-25 2003, there is a general consensus among several Lycée Sisowath Alumni, Friends, Family and school authority that a model computer laboratory is necessary to be set up as a seed for public school to spur the interest in computer literacy. We are all extremely conscious of the growing disparity between Cambodia and the rest of the world in computer literacy. There is no need to inform all of you about
the consequence to our people if they are left behind in this process. The goal of Friends at Lycée Sisowath at this moment is to establish a model computer laboratory at Lycée Sisowath.
The facility will be equipped with 25 networked computers with shared printers and a scanner. Initial projection for the lab to be operational by October 2003 and ready for 2003-2004 school year. Future development plans include full Internet capability.
Seeking for this 3 month project: - Individual with fundraising and fund management experience to be part of a global financial team responsible for funding this $30K project. - Individual with computer engineering and Sciences experience to be part of a global technical team to design, purchase computer equipment, install and manage the lab as well as develop, improve and advise the curriculum of computer science for public school.
