Plant of the Month
July
October
December

The plant of the month for July is Arrowwood Viburnum.  Arrowwood Viburnum is a dense, round headed large shrub. It has flat clusters of white flowers in mid May. The dark green, slightly glossy leaves are 2-3" wide and 3-4" long with sharply dentate leaf margins. Foliage turns red to purple in autumn. Fruits turn dark blue in September and are quite attractive. The fruits are well liked by birds. Plants maintain a dense full plant habit. Can be used in the landscape in masses, hedges, or shrub borders. They do well in full sun or shade. Two favorite cultivars are 'Chicago Lustre' and 'Aut. Jazz'.
