Welcome and
thank you for visiting the Pacific Northwest School of the Alex Dong
International Taijiquan Association.
Andy is Back!
Beginning Thursday December 7th at 6:15pm, I will resume teaching at Fusion in
downtown Olympia. The one-hour class 'Introduction to Tai Chi Chuan' will
include short routines, flex and flow movements, and other standing exercises
designed to train people in basic principles. Another class, 'Advanced
Concepts' will follow at 7:30. This second class will include more extended
practice of dynamic form work and various interactive drills, depending on
actual participants. This new class schedule shall continue every thursday
until further notice.
Join more than 200 million
practitioners worldwide who utilize Taijiquan, an ancient Chinese form of
movement as a preventative and healing health strategy.
Investigating Taiji is like
knocking on the door of a very large mansion that has many interesting and
unknown rooms. Begin your own journey by exploring the PNW website. Information
on what Taijiquan is and how it can improve your daily life, as well as
students' own testimonials, current class and workshop info, and reference
documents are all available.
Andy
was recently interviewed about Tai Chi by author Carole Marshall. He was asked
about some of the healing qualities of Tai Chi practice and how he teaches
special classes for those with health challenges. His quotes appear in her book
"Maximum Fitness, Minimum Risk" which is available from Caveat Press,
2005.
