| We
Welcome You To Downeyville!
This site is load intensive with
music and graphics. It works best with a high speed internet connection. I
pretty much created this site to learn HTML, and you can definitely see my
learning curve! I was hoping several years ago to purchase Flash, but never got around to it! Hmmm, maybe in the future?
I can't believe how many visitors I have had to our site. I am in the
process of creating new pages to show how my family has grown up! Now to update the house!
New In The House -
Our cats have a
very important video clip they think you should see.
Landon
has finished his career as Naval Nuclear Power Engineer on the
USS
City of Corpus Christi . He fell in love in
Guam and married Raven.
I am now a Grandma of the most beautiful Granddaughter in the world!
Her name is Cheyanne. I quit my teaching job to help take care of her
from October to December while Landon was underway. He retired from
the Navy and moved up east and Raven is now singing and winning Karaoke
competitions. She's heavy metal and I'm still waiting to hear what she
is singing!
God Bless Our Military .
Aaron is no longer
doing karate. He is now finishing 7th Grade and plays percussion in
band. He is in all honors classes and is still extremely bright.
I will be adding new website updates soon.
Christen is
finished
NEO and has been at
OU for 2
years now! My, how time flies! We are so proud of her! She
is still a chemistry major, pursuing pre-med. She is going to be a 5th year
senior because the courses she needs to gradate were not offered at the
times she needed to take them. She is still brilliant and her
Honda Accord is still holding out fine! She's still a hard worker and
is more beautiful than ever.
Trevor is still our "wild and wooly"
Trev-man! He is finishing his last year at elementary school and
getting ready for 6th grade. He is going to follow Aaron's footsteps
with playing percussion. I'm waiting for them to create a band so I
can live out my musical fantasies of being a rock star. I guess it
will be more like Shirley Jones of the Partridge Family! We have a
great set of TAMA drums just screaming out for attention and I can't wait
until they are played regularly. Back to Trevor - he is still fighting
the evil-doers of the universe and has a great imagination. Tonight I
walked into the kitchen and he had out all his old Poke'mon and was
"bowling" with them. It was hilarious. I need to add that he's
past the Poke'mon phase now (he makes that VERY clear).
I,
Sherry,
have done so many things since I last updated this website. In short,
I became certified to teach, taught Computer Applications, Keyboarding, and
then took another job (the one I resigned from this school year) teaching
Record Keeping (pre accounting) and some more keyboarding courses. I'm
currently seeking more employment and work part time at my cousin's health
food store, Rock Creek Herb & Vitamin Co. I have learned so much about
healthy vitamins, homeopathic remedies, iridology, and healthy eating.
Now, if those extra child-bearing pounds would just melt away, I would be
very happy! We've had great illness in the family: my sister, our
best friends, and my father-in-law. Prayers are appreciated. My
old computer fried and I bought a new awesome one! I now am the proud
owner of a 21" flat screen monitor! I love my computer games and love
the speed of my new system! I have a
HP Media Center PC m7360n, with a
Gateway Monitor - it is awesome! Now, if I could just
take the time to connect our HD digital cable to the new system - I would
never need TiVo again! By the way, I can load a bazillion objects in
my Sims2 houses!
Our
house is more cluttered than ever and I still need the
FlyLady to help me reclaim my beautiful home.
Jeff has
just accepted he will live with back pain forever. If you are
considering
back
surgery , don't do it! He has regretted it for several years now
and even though they have removed the hardware, he is in constant pain.
Me with my migraines and Jeff with his back are like walking barometers.
We can predict the weather by our decrepit body aches and pains!
Thanks for visiting and I will be adding new pictures and links within the
next couple of weeks. I'll post them on this page and highlight a link to them as they are
created and loaded.
The summer is upon us. The trees and flowers are in bloom, the baby
birds are chirping and
I hope you have a safe and beautiful summer!
Love To Everyone, Sherry
