Little Tommy all of the sudden seemed to be having lots of ‘little accidents’ and needed a bandaid for various small scrapes and cuts. Four different times on Saturday - twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon, the five-year old came running to his mother to show her an ‘ouchie’ which he insisted required a bandaid. It just happened that Tommy’s mother had bought a box of bandaids with cartoon characters on them. Each ‘ouchie’ was on a different part of Tommy’s body - his chin, elbow, finger, and knee, and after carefully cleaning each wound (which in a couple of cases she had to squint to see!), she then applied a bandaid with a different cartoon character on it - Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, Scoobie-Doo, and Woody Woodpecker. From the clues, determine the order that Tommy got each ‘ouchie’ and its location, as well as the character on the bandaid his mother applied in each case.
1. The ouchie Tommy received on his chin wasn’t the one where his mother applied the bandaid featuring Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse..
2. It was in the morning that Tommy hurt his elbow, and in the afternoon that he got a little scratch on his finger.
3. Tommy scraped his knee later in the day then when he scraped his elbow.
4. The bandaid with the cartoon character Mickey Mouse was applied to an ouchie sometime prior to the bandaid featuring Scoobie-Doo.
5. It wasn’t the second ouchie that Tommy received to which his mother applied a bandaid to Tommy’s chin.
6. Tommy got a little scratch on his finger earlier in the day than when he got the ouchie to which his mother applied the bandaid featuring Bugs Bunny.

Five friends - Arnie, Glen, Jim, Mike, and Thomas grew up together in a small town in the Midwest. They had many things in common, but yet some of their life choices were very different. In high school each participated in a different sport - basketball, football, swimming, track, or wrestling. After high school each spent some time in one of the military forces - Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy, and then they all went to college and entered into a different profession - one became an architect, one a dentist, one a marine biologist, one a pilot, and one a veterinarian. From the clues, determine each man’s name and the choices he made in these three different areas of his life.
1. Glen, who joined the Coast Guard, isn’t the man who participated in basketball in high school and then later entered became a commercial airline pilot.
2. Arnie, who is now an architect, participated in track in high school, but isn’t the one who joined the Air Force.
3. One of the five friends became a marine biologist after leaving the Army.
4. Either Jim or Mike is the man who is the man who was a member of their high school’s swimming team and then joined the Navy after graduating.
5. Thomas was on their high school’s wrestling team.
6. The man who enlisted in the Navy after high school isn’t the man who became a veterinarian.
7. Mike didn’t become a dentist after leaving the armed forces.

It was just before closing time at Stan’s Supermarket and four customers stood in Heidi’s line to check out. Each customer had exactly three items - a dairy product (butter, cheese, ice cream, or milk), a fresh vegetable product (broccoli, carrots, lettuce, or tomatoes), and a fruit (apples, grapes, oranges, or peaches). From the clues, determine which customer in line (first through fourth) bought which three items.
1. The first three customers Heidi checked out were the customer who bought milk, the one who bought broccoli, and the one who bought grapes, in some order.
2. The customer who purchased milk isn’t the one who purchased lettuce.
3. Heidi checked out the customer who bought peaches before she checked out the customer who bought grapes.
4. The customer who purchased butter was in line directly behind the customer who purchased lettuce and directly in front of the customer who purchased apples.
5. The last of the four customers in Heidi’s checkout line (who didn’t purchase carrots) isn’t the customer who purchased cheese.
