Over the Easter weekend, Miss Scarlet and the other five Clue suspects decided to spend some time relaxing at the Rainbow Retreat in Echo Valley. By chance they each were given one of the first six cabins - three of which are on the North side (west to east) numbered 1, 3, and 5, and three on the South side (west to east) numbered 2, 4, and 6. Number 1 is directly across from number 2, etc. as illustrated in the diagram. Each stayed in a cabin of a different color - lavender, lemon yellow, lime green, peach, pink, or sky blue.
The first night was anything but restful, as each was kept awake most the night by a different sound in or near his or her cabin - barking dog, buzzing fly, chirping cricket, croaking frog, hooting owl, or yowling cats. From the clues, determine the number and color of each person’s cabin and the sound which kept each one up all night.
1. Chirping crickets kept the person up who had the cabin immediately between Mrs. White's and the person who had the lemon yellow cabin.
2. Mrs. Peacock’s cabin was directly across from Mr. Green’s cabin and next to that of the person who tried in vain to kill a buzzing fly in his or her cabin.
3. The lime green cabin was on the same side as and somewhere to the east of Prof. Plum’s cabin.
4. The sky blue cabin was south of, although not necessarily directly across from, Col. Mustard’s cabin.
5. The number of the cabin of the individual who was unable to sleep because of croaking frogs (which was somewhere west of the peach cabin) was exactly twice that of the individual who listened to cats yowling all night long.
6. The pink cabin had a smaller number that Mrs. Peacock’s cabin and a larger number than the lavender cabin.
7. Col. Mustard’s cabin number was more than twice that of the person who was kept up a hooting owl.

In celebration of the 100th birthday of Stefano’s grandmother, relatives gathered at Stefano’s parents’ home for a week-long celebration. The house was full of aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces - especially nieces! To help break
the monotony for the young girls, each day Stefano escorted a
different teenage niece on a trip to the local amusement park.
On each of five different days - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, in that order, Stefano and one of his five nieces spent some time at the park where Stefano won each niece a different stuffed animal (one was a cute white puppy) and they rode two different rides - Bumper Cars/Cyclone, Bumper Cars/Ferris Wheel, Ferris Wheel/Roller Coaster, Roller Coaster/Tilt-a-Whirl, or Tilt-a-Whirl/Cyclone.
From the clues, determine the day of the week Stefano took each niece to the Amusement Park, the stuffed animal he won for each, and the two rides they went on.
1. Margaret spend the day at the Amusement Park with her Uncle Stefano the day immediately following the day one of the nieces (but not Amy) returned from the park with a cute stuffed tiger.
2. The day that Stefano won a stuffed elephant for one niece was exactly three days earlier in the week than the day than the day he and Rene rode both the Roller Coaster and the Tilt-a-Whirl.
3. Stefano and his niece, Judith, went to the Amusement Park on Wednesday.
4. The niece who received a stuffed teddy bear (which was earlier in the week than another niece received a stuffed dragon)did not ride on the Cyclone.
5. Judith really enjoyed the Bumper Cars, although the day that Carol went to the park with her Uncle Stefano, they rode two different rides.
6. Neither Margaret nor the niece who received the stuffed tiger rode the Ferris Wheel.

Several members of Everetts’ family got together last weekend and ended up playing one of Everetts’ favorite games - Partner Charades. The idea is that two people silently act out the antics and gestures of a famous pair of individuals. In this case, several of the younger generation was present - Megan, Julie, Scott, Seth, and Shane, and so the adults did the acting while the young people did the guessing.
The women’s names - Donna, Lori, Sharon, Sue, and Wilma, were put on a piece of paper in a bowl and each man (Calvin, Everett, Jerry, John, and Norman), in no particular order, drew for his partner. Everett’s nephew, Sam, who couldn’t be present, was kind enough to provide a dozen or so names of famous pairs (one was Abbott and Costello), and each pair of well-know individuals was put on a separate piece of paper, folded up, and put into a bowl. Then each couple - drew a piece of paper and proceeded to pantomime the famous pair drawn.
As it turned out, a different one of the five young people present correctly guessed during one of the five rounds they played! From the clues, can you do the same?
1. During the round that Donna and her partner pantomimed, Shane guessed the famous pair correctly. Seth guessed the famous pair pantomimed during the round that Jerry played.
2. Calvin and his partner did a fine job of acting during the fourth round, while Lori and her partner whooped it up during the fifth round.
3. Scott correctly guessed the
round in which one pair of adults acted out Romeo and Julier.
4. It was not during the first round of play that Everett and his partner, Wilma, participated, nor was the first round the round that a couple pantomimed Jack and Jill.
5. The adult pair who played during the second round acted out George Burns and Gracie Allen. Megan correctly guessed during the third round.
6. John and his partner (who enjoyed pantomiming the Smothers Brothers) played sometime after the game where Julie guessed correctly and sometime before the game when Sharon and her partner played.
