Mr. Boddy had invited the six Clue suspects to spend Christmas Eve at his Mansion. The dinner was being readied and the fire was laid so that the Dining Room would be nice and warm, as it was a very cold night out. Each guest arrived in a different order (first through sixth) bundled up against the weather, each wearing a different type of coat (one was a Mackintaw), and each had a different color of woolen scarf wrapped around his or her neck for warmth. All arrived bearing a wrapped Christmas gift for Mr. Boddy (one was a pen set engraved with gold leaf).
From the clues, determine the order in which each guest arrived, the type of coat and color of scarf each wore, and the gift each brought for the host.
1. Mr. Green (who is not the one who wore the white scarf) arrived at some point before the person with the red scarf and some time after the person who wore the Ulster.
2. Prof. Plum is not the person whose gift for Mr. Boddy was either the tie or the stationery. The person who brought the tie didn’t wear a gray scarf.
3. Col. Mustard arrived at some point after the person who wore the parka, who was not the first of the guest to arrive at the Boddy Mansion.
4. The person who wore the white scarf was not the first to arrive, but arrived some time before the person who wore the trench coat, who arrived sometime before the person whose gift was a book of poetry.
5. The person who wore the red scarf, who arrived sometime before the person whose gift was a Mozart CD, is not the person whose gift was a genuine sterling silver letter opener.
6. Mrs. Peacock isn’t the one who wore the Mackintosh (who isn’t the one who wore the green scarf). The second person to arrived didn’t wear the Pea jacket.
7. Three guest to arrived in consecutive order, from first to last, were the person who wore the gray scarf, the person who wore the Pea jacket, and Mrs. Peacock.
8. Neither Miss Scarlet (who didn’t wear the brown scarf) nor Mrs. White wore the green scarf.
9. The guest whose gift was a letter opener arrived sometime after the person who wore the blue scarf, who arrived sometime after Col. Mustard.

One weekend, Nancy and three other members of Kasergames happened to be in Oregon and all made a special point of visiting Everett while there. On Saturday night, Everett took them to a ball game, and on Sunday afternoon they all ambled down to Sunday’s Sundae Shoppe. Everett, as usual, had everything chocolate on his sundae, but the other four varied their request among ice cream flavors (chocolate, chocolate chip, strawberry, or vanilla), syrups (caramel, chocolate, pineapple, or strawberry) and two of six different toppings (butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, crushed M&Ms, marshmallows, nuts, or sprinkles).
From the clues, determine the first and last name (one is Cunningham) of each Kasergame member, and the ice cream flavor, syrup, and toppings each chose for his or her sundae.
1. The four individuals are Ken, the one surnamed Gortat, the one who selected chocolate ice cream, and the one who ordered sprinkles as one of his or her two toppings.
2. The individual who ordered chocolate syrup on his or her strawberry ice cream sundae didn’t order butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, or nuts as toppings.
3. Neither the person who ordered chocolate chip ice cream nor the person who ordered caramel syrup (who didn’t have vanilla ice cream) is the person surnamed Spence.
4. The two individuals who ordered nuts as a topping didn’t ordered marshmallows as a topping. Both Ken and the person who ordered the vanilla ice cream ordered nuts as a topping.
5. Neither Sue nor the two individuals who ordered marshmallows as toppings also ordered crushed M&Ms as a topping.
6. Brandon, who didn’t order the sundae made with strawberry ice cream, didn’t request chocolate chips as a topping.
7. The person who ordered crushed M&Ms as a topping (who isn’t the one surnamed Hawkinson) isn’t the person who ordered strawberry syrup.

Stefano had not actually seen his Aunt Agatha since he was a child, but he had heard his family talk of his eccentric aunt who claimed to live in a haunted house. When Aunt Agatha invited Stefano to visit during the week preceding Christmas (and no one to this day is sure why!), he jumped at the chance. Two things he discovered - one is that his aunt was indeed eccentric, and the other - she did indeed live in a haunted house. On the five weekdays he was there (Monday through Friday), at exactly five minutes before midnight, a ghostly apparition appeared, each in a different room of the house (one ghost appeared in the hallway). Each sighting was preceded by a different sound (one sound was whistling).
His aunt claimed they were members of the staff of the previous owner who had mysteriously disappeared and were awaiting his return. However, Stefano neither quaked nor quivered, and it would be years later that he found, because of his intrepid acceptance of the ghosts, his Aunt Agatha had left him her entire (and very substantial) fortune! From the clues, determine the day he saw each ghost, the room where he saw each ghost, and the sound that proceeded each sighting.
1. Wednesday night was the night a ghostly appearance was preceded by a mournful moaning sound.
2. The ghost Stefano saw on Thursday evening (which was not the ghost of the housekeeper) appeared in his Aunt Agatha’s old fashioned kitchen.
3. Neither the ghost of the parlor maid nor the ghost of the housekeeper is the one Stefano saw on Friday evening.
4. The sounds of hiccuping preceded the appearance of the upstairs maid, which wasn’t seen in the parlor.
5. On Tuesday night, as Stefano wandered through the vast rooms of his Aunt’s huge old house, he heard crying and immediately afterward he sighted the ghost of the cook.
6. Near the end of the week, the ghost of the butler appeared in the guest bedroom as Stefano made preparations to retire.
7. A tap-tap-tapping sound, which didn’t herald the appearance of either the butler or the housekeeper, occurred on the night just after the night Stefano saw a ghost in the dining room.
