ClueJo Logic Problem - Thanksgiving in December

Because most of the Clue gang was traveling over Thanksgiving, they all gathered at Mr. Boddy’s house in early December for a late Thanksgiving dinner. Mr. Boddy furnished the turkey and each suspect - Col. Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. White, and Prof. Plum, each brought a different dish (dressing, green bean casserole, ham, pies, potatoes, and a relish plate). A few days before the meal, in order to determine which suspect would bring what, the names were written down separately on some paper, folded, and put in a bowl. Each person then took turns drawing a piece of folded paper out of the bowl to see what he or she would be responsible for. From the clues, determine the order in which each suspect drew from the bowl and what item of food each person would be bringing to dinner.

1. The person who found he or she was to bring pies drew from the bowl after the person who drew out of the bowl just after the person who was to bring the scalloped potatoes.

2. Mr. Green was the fourth individual to draw a piece of paper out of the bowl.

3. Prof. Plum made his selection sometime after the person who was to bring the dressing (who was either the 2nd or 3rd person to make his or her selection.

4. The person who found he or she was to bring the green bean casserole drew from the bowl somtime before the person who found he or she was to bring a relish tray.

5. One person ended up with being responsible for bringing a ham; he or she drew from the bowl immediately after Miss Scarlet and immediately before Col. Mustard.

6. After Mrs. White drew from the bowl, exactly two other people drew out their slips of paper before Mrs. Peacock had her turn.

Stefano Logic Problem - Climb Every Mountain

Near where Stefano lives is what the locals call Mt. Everett, which in reality isn’t a mountain at all, but a rather very high hill. Many times Stefano and a group of his friends tackle the east side of the “mountain” which is rather steep. The top is wide and flat and once they reach the tope, the group enjoys a picnic lunch before descending down the west side by a wooden stairway. Each wears a mountain climbing outfit of a different color when they indulge in this pleasure - blue, green, orange, red, or yellow. Last weekend when they each reached to top, each shouted out a different short saying - Alright!, Hallelujah!, Eureka!, Oh, Boy!, or Ten Four!. From the clues, determine the order in which each ascended, the color of each individuals clothing, and the saying each shouted on reaching the top.

1. The person who wears red (who didn’t reach the top last) arrived at the summit sometime after Judi. <2> 2. Phil isn’t the person who hollered “Alright!” when reaching the top.

3. Stefano reached the top sometime before the person who wore orange, who reached the top sometime before the person who shouted “Ten Four!” (who didn’t finish last).

4. The person who yelled “Oh, boy!” when reaching the summit wasn’t the first or second to arrive there.

5. The individual who hollered “Alright!” when reaching the top arrived there immediately before Sue and sometime after the individual who wore yellow.

6. Judi isn’t the person who sounded off with a hearty “Ten Four!” or “Eureka!” when reaching the top.

7. It wasn’t the member of the group who wore green who yelled either “Hallelujah!” or “Oh, boy!” when finishing his or her climb.

8. The person who wore blue was neither Phil nor Ken.

9. “Eureka!” was the happy cry from the person who finished sometime before the person who wore yellow (who finished 3rd or 4th).
