On New Year’s Eve, Dr. Gray had a few friends over to play Clue. During the course of the evening, it appeared that each of the six people present had made three resolutions concerning the upcoming new year, one of which was to make some type of improvement to his or her property. A second resolution concerned engaging in some type of activity that provided a certain amount of danger and excitement. Last by not least, each decided to either give something up or to take up something to improve their lives.
From the clues, determine the improvement each person intends to make to his or her property, the activity each plans to engage in at some point during the year, and what each person intends to either give up or take up in the way of improving the quality of his or her life.
2. Both the woman who plans to put in a patio and the person who plans to do some deep sea diving plan to either give up something or take up something, while Lady Melon plans to do the opposite of what these two have resolved to accomplish.

5. The person who plans to do more reading, especially of the classics, either plans to do some deep sea diving or some spelunking sometime that summer.

In the Kaser family, it is a family tradition to bring in the New Year with ice cream sundaes - and how long this tradition has been going on only the Kasers know for sure. This New Year’s Eve found Everett, his wife Sharon, daughter Megan, son Shane, sister Donna, and Donna’s husband, Jerry sitting around a small table at Sandy’s Sundae Shoppe.
To celebrate the New Year, each member of the family decided to try out some of the ice cream flavors they have never had before. Each ordered a sundae with two scoops of ice cream - each scoop a different flavors with one flavor having a two word name and one flavor having a three word name. In addition, each member of the family ordered one of three different types of syrup for their sundaes, and to top if off, each ordered either chocolate sprinkles or chopped nuts.
From the clues, determine the makeup of each family member’s sundae.
2. Of the person who ordered Cool Mocha Coffee (who didn’t order either Peppermint Candy or Rocky Road) and the person who ordered Very Berry Coconut, one selected chocolate sprinkles while the other ordered chopped nuts. Both of these two people ordered a different type of syrup for his or her topping.
3. The family member who ordered the Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream also ordered caramel topping for his or her sundae. This was not Jerry, who had his sundae finished off with some chocolate sprinkles.
4. Chocolate syrup was not selected by Shane, the person who ordered Banana Nut, the person who ordered Rocky Road, or the person who ordered Peanut Butter Pecan. (There are four different individuals mentioned in this clue.)
5. Sharon didn’t order her sundae with either the Black Walnut or the Strawberry Swirl ice cream. The person whose sundae included a scoop of Strawberry Swirl ordered caramel syrup topping.
6. One person who ordered strawberry syrup topping also ordered a scoop of Peppermint Candy ice cream, but didn’t order a scoop of Peanut Butter Pecan ice cream.
7. Two individuals who ordered chocolate sprinkles on their sundaes are the one who ordered a scoop of Rummy Raisin and the one who ordered a scoop of Cool Mocha Coffee. The person who opted for a scoop of Nutty Berry Cheesecake preferred chopped nuts on his or her sundae.
8. Both Donna and the person who ordered a scoop of Very Berry Coconut selected chocolate syrup for their sundaes. Megan’s choice for her sundae was strawberry syrup.
