October 2000 Announcements
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!: The dojo will be closed on Tuesday the 31st for Halloween. Have fun and be SAFE!
NEW CLASSES: Grappling class Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., Juniors orange/white belt and above Tuesday 5:45-6:30 pm, Wednesday morning at 10 am.
TOPKICK KICKBOXING: The next event will be held on Friday November 17th. Sensei Christian Campfield will be representing our dojo in the grappling division. All students are expected and encouraged to attend to show your support! Let's cheer him on!
PRIVATE LESSONS: Are available with any American Jiu Jitsu Centers Black Belt. Having trouble in a certain area? A private lesson may be the answer! Private lessons can be split between two students. 10 lessons prepaid shared by 2 students cost $212.50 each. Package and price sheets available at the front desk. You can schedule private lessons for whenever it is convenient for you.
SUNDAY 10/22 OPEN MAT: Will be cancelled.
KARDIO KICKBOXING: Schedule: Black Belt Club Members get in free, Jiu Jitsu members for half price. Our new and improved program incorporates bag work performing rounds of kicks and punches. Get your cardiovascular system in shape with these classes!
AJJ GRAPPLING TEAM: A tournament team is now formed for all American Jiu Jitsu locations. Practice sessions are on Saturdays at 2 pm at the Commack dojo. See an instructor if you are interested
ORANGE BELT AND ABOVE: Monday nites from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm will be a higher ranked class. All higher ranks are encouraged to attend.
GRAPPLING BELTS: Grappling belts must be worn to Thursday/ Saturday grappling classes. The 4 current belt levels are as follows. 1st belt: white/ red stripe. 2nd belt: red/ white stripe. 3rd belt: red belt. 4th belt: red black stripe. The grappling belts cost $10.00.
PATCHES ON GI'S: A reminder that ALL uniforms worn to class must have a triangle patch on the left lapel, and a Federation patch on the left shoulder. See the front desk if you need them. Triangle patch $7, Federation patch $10.

ATTENTION HIGHER RANKS: At all American Jiu Jitsu locations, blue belts and above are required to have assisted children and lower belt classes to be eligible for their next rank. Orange belts and above may get started early and assist the Junior and Little Dragons program. All assists are recorded, and appreciated.
