The
two previous films, Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror
(1942) and Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon (1943),
bring to life a modernized Holmes. This film goes one step
further! For the first time Holmes and Watson are called away
from their usual haunts of the British Isles and sent to the
heart of the United States, Washington DC, where Holmes seems
deeply impressed during a quick patriotic tour of the city's
monuments, and Watson amuses himself with the commonalties
of American living!
Henry Daniell's characteristic acting makes him an excellent
henchman for the great George Zucco, who after appearing as
Proffesor Moriarty in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
(1939), makes this film his final appearance in the series!

Multiple
Moriartys?? NO!!... But this film DOES include George Zucco and Henry
Daniell,
Who BOTH played the Napoleon of Crime during the Basil and Nigel series!
