Greater Michigan EAP Advisory Committee
Executive Board Member

The Employee Assistance Program isalive and well in the USPS Greater Michigan District, with an active program to furnish quality EAP services to our employees.

As set forth in Article 35 of the National Agreement, a National EAP Advisory Committee is currently working to promote EAP in the Greater Michigan District and across the nation.

Our Greater Michigan District committee is composed of both management and labor representatives and is currently working together to promote EAP in the Greater Michigan District.

Union and management are entitled to two voting members and two alternates. The EAP consultant serves as an ad-hoc member of the committee.

The District EAP Advisory Committee works with the District EAP Consultant to ensure that all employees are aware of the EAP program and the services that are readily available to them and their families.

The committee has four major functions:

Cynthia Gladyness serves as the Greater Michigan District EAP Consultant. She is employed by the contractor of EAP services, Magellan (not the United States Postal Service). Her Office is in Grand Rapids. Her role is to provide training, to consult with management and union leaders, and work with the EAP Advisory Committee.
